Fantasy author Patrick Rothfuss has raised $1 Million for Heifer International, a charity that aims to end world hunger with “a cow, not a cup.” Rothfuss, who wrote bestselling novels The Name of the Wind and The Wise Man’s Fearsays he promised to match donations to Heifer via his charity WorldBuilders, thinking he would raise $5,000. In the first week, he raised $50,000. Rothfuss told the Denver Post, “…it stung a little bit. But if you’re gonna go crazy, do it in a good way.”
Five years since his first blog post, Rothfuss’ WorldBuilders has raised $1.1 Million for Heifer.
